Where it started: a green workbook
More tomorrow. I'm genuinely excited to show you.
Before it was an app, it was a book.
Green cover. A little homemade-looking, if I'm honest. Eight weeks of management essentials, described as simply as I could manage (no pun intended), with QR codes for anyone who wanted to go deeper (I never actualky got around to adding these in).
And quite a lot of homework. Neccessary homework, mostly journalling because reflection and awareness where the mechanisms for growth.
- Goal setting
- Building trust with the trust equation
- Effective and meaningful 121s
- Delegation vs abdication
- Giving and receiving feedback
- Communication skills
- How to prioritise
- How has it gone and what will you work on?
The last pages were blank - ready to act as your first manager's notepad, and so that all your learning and your meeting notes could live in the same place.
People liked it. (That felt really good, not going to lie.) But a book can't nudge you on a Tuesday evening when you've forgotten to journal. And it can't tell you you're not the only one finding Week 3 a bit much.
So I turned it into something that can.
More tomorrow. I'm genuinely excited to show you.
